The release includes entity-loading and query improvements. It also adds support for Brotli compression of aggregated assets when the required PHP extension is available. Ask your hosting team which capabilities are enabled and how they will measure the effect on your site.
Our recommendation is to select a few representative pages and editorial tasks before updating. Keep the device, login state, and test conditions comparable. A published benchmark can explain an engineering change, but it cannot establish the improvement every production website will experience.
Review changes that affect editors
The announcement describes CKEditor fullscreen support and an experimental administrative theme. These are useful subjects for an editor walkthrough. Experimental features need their own evaluation; the availability of a feature does not mean it should immediately become part of your production workflow.
Invite the people who regularly publish content to try the workflows that matter: creating a long article, previewing it, choosing an image, and finding a saved draft. Record any training or documentation changes needed.
Separate a release review from a deployment decision
A release discussion can identify opportunities without committing every feature at once. First agree on the supported update target and required compatibility work. Then decide which optional changes belong in a later, separately tested improvement.
Make the handover useful
